Iamgold Reports 51% Increase in Rosebel Gold Mine Reserves in Suriname

05:04 AM EDT, 09/24/2018 (MT Newswires) -- Iamgold (IAG) reported Sunday that resource and reserves estimates at its Rosebel Gold Mine in Suriname, South America have increased.

The company said consolidated reserves grew 51%, or 1.6 million ounces, to 4.7 million ounces. On the other hand, measured and indicated resources rose 2%, or 0.1 million ounces, to 9.3 million ounces.

The mine is expected to produce 281,000 ounces annually on average over its mine life of 15 years.
