Iamgold Resumes Operations At Rosebel Mine; Shares Up Almost 4%

12:55 PM EDT, 09/23/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Shares of Iamgold (IAG) climbed almost 4% Monday after the miner said it has resumed operations at its Rosebel gold mine in Suriname with full ramp-up expected in about 30 days.

Mine development at Iamgold's Saramacca site also resumed, the company said in a statement. According to Iamgold, it issued a recall for the 325 Saramacca contractors who were released Aug. 15 and Saramacca ore is expected to be delivered to the Rosebel mill from early November.
