09:52 AM EST, 02/27/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Jaguar Mining (JAG.TO) on Wednesday said drilling at its Turmalina gold mine in Brazil showed an extension of one of the ore bodies tapped by the mine.
The company said the drilling extended what it calls Orebody C, with drilling results showing a down plunge in the vein, with best results showing 20.35 grams per tonne of gold over 0.5 meters and 18.3 gpt over 8.23 meters.
"We continue to improve our geological understanding of Orebody C through structural mapping, targeted growth drilling and prioritized infill drilling," interim chief executive Ben Guenther said in a release. "This strategic approach enables us to plan and develop shallow mineralization that will provide Turmalina with additional ore faces and operational flexibility."
The company's shares were last seen unchanged at $0.21 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
