Jaguar Mining Names Vernon Baker as CEO; Jumped 22% Last Friday

09:48 AM EDT, 08/06/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Junior gold miner Jaguar Mining (JAG.TO) said Tuesday that Vernon Baker has been appointed as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Ben Guenther, who served only temporarily.

The appointment of Baker comes following the company's review of strategic alternatives.

Baker brings over 35 years of mining industry experience. Most recently, he was general manager at Goldcorp's Cerro Negro Mine in Argentina.
