10:52 AM EDT, 10/09/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Gold miner Kirkland Lake Gold (KL.TO) said Wednesday that Q3 gold production rose 38% year-over-year to a record 248,400 ounces from 180,155 ounces, boosted by the strong performance of its Fosterville project.
Fosterville produced a record 158,327 ounces during the quarter, compared with 90,618 ounces in the same period last year.
For 2019, the company still expects production to be in the range of 950,000 - 1 million ounces, with 570,000 - 610,000 ounces from Fosterville, 140,000 - 150,000 ounces from Holt Complex, and 240,000 - 250,000 ounces from Macassa.
The stock edged up by 0.7% Wednesday morning.
