Lara Samples 36 Meters at 0.5% Tin at Sao Lourenco

Lara Exploration Ltd. ("Lara" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:LRA) is pleased to report further encouraging results from sampling on its Sao Lourenco tin project in northwest Brazil. Continuous channel sampling on the Isaac Target has outlined a series of northeast-southwest oriented greisens (tin bearing alteration zones), the largest of which is 250 meters in length and up to 50 meters wide with the better grades reported in Table 1 below:

Mapping shows this zone continuing for at least another 100 meters in each direction and the alkali-granite body that is host to this mineralization is only part (approximately 60%) exposed suggesting further potential under cover. The Isaac Target has several subordinate zones of mineralization in addition to that above and sampling has also identified zones with higher-grade (greater than 1% tin) vein systems, a complete list of which are included in Table 2 below:

The Company plans to continue sampling on the Isaac Target to extend the known mineralized zones and define drill targets for testing the depth extensions of these systems. Follow-up sampling on the Irene Target, within the same granite body, is on-going and results will be reported when received.

The Sao Lourenco mine operated in the 1970's and 1980's, producing approximately 12,000 tonnes of tin from placer (alluvial) mining. In January 2007, Lara signed an option agreement to purchase 100% of the Sao Lourenco mining rights for approximately US$1.07 million (approximately US$48,000 paid to date) payable over three years. The Company is targeting the primary source rocks of the previously mined placers, a 1.3 billion year old alkali-granite intrusion, exposed over a 3,800 by 1,000 meter area within the property. Tin mineralization in this granite is hosted by wide zones of greisen alteration (quartz-zinnwaldite-topaz-cassiterite), greisen veining and quartz vein stockworks.

Quality Control

This sampling program comprised the collection of 2 meter samples continuously along lines cut perpendicular across the mineralized zones identified in the Phase-1 program. The samples were continuous chip or channel samples, depending on whether the exposure sampled comprised vein material, weathered rock (saprolite) or fresh granite. Samples were prepared and analyzed using X-Ray Fluorescence at the commercial SGS-Geosol Laboratory in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais State), with blank, standard and duplicate samples included for QAQC purposes.

Michael Bennell, Lara's Vice President Exploration and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects, and is responsible for the preparation and verification of the technical information in this release.
