Message: EV-internal combustion price parity forecast for 2023 – report

Regarding the age of cars, here is my own example: some time ago, I have bought Renault GrandEspace IV. At the time of the purchase, the car was 3 years old and had about 37k miles on its clock. Now, the car has 12 years, 130k miles. Few scratches around but still look quite well. At this age, it has very small value, but since does not cause any problems, I am planning to run it at least another 60k miles/8 years.

The point is, buying new car ever 3 years or so is not very economic nor ecological. I can keep my old car and be more enviroment friendly than a guy buiny new Tesla every 3 years or so.
