Message: Euro 7 - the end of ICE or EU?

Well, should the EU Commission  be "crazy enough" and really pursue this policy, it would effectively mean the end of ICE engine in EU (16 mil. Cars sold there in 2019). The limits for NOx and CO2 are so low, that it is not physically possible to achieve it. Additionally, the test results will not be measured in a laboratory but "street conditions", which is another setback for the industry.

At the moment, it is a proposal, however EU is dominated by "green fascists", who have no mercy with the industry. But the auto industry is quite important, so it may also mean, that UK may not be the last one to leave this club.

I personally believe, that the common sense will prevail and this policy will be put on hold. But the likelihood, that EV market share will be higher than 30%+ is quite high. But there are the same limits like everywhere else: not enough energy to feed the fleet of EVs and tax implications. Excise duty on petrol is quite high in EU and that money will be gone. So they will need to charge it on something else (reducing the budgets is certainly not an option).
