Cal, moving the goal post is a definite.  Then again it is just a reflection of life in general.  On how many of life's journeys do we have to move the Goal Post?  It is what it is.  Recovery will happen as sure as adjustments to the situation will and are happening.  People say:  "Life will never be the same".  So what?  Life is never the same from one year to the other.  The difference is that in some years change takes place slower than in others.  This is a "Fast" year for change, that's all.  Humans are adaptable, if they allow themselves to be and most of us have no choice regarding the societal changes and economic changes necessitated as a result of our response to SARS-CoV-2.  Sometimes minds don't adapt to those changes with the same speed as actual events, just like back in the early 1900's some people took longer than others to adapt to the age of the internal combustion engine.  The same slowness to adaptation is in evidence to the attitudes of much of the population world wide to the initiation of the age of the EV since the rise of the EV is coincidental to the slow diminution of the Age of the ICE vehicles.  Horses did not become extinct when the ICE vehicle appeared on the scene and neither will ICE vehicles disappear because of the rise of EVs.  

It is what it is, nothing more.... nothing less.  The advantage of "Old Age" is that we have seen significant changes occur in our lifetime before and we have the knowledge that life moved on in spite of those changes, so it gives us a perspective on change than someone with less candles on their birthday cake may not have.   Best wishes, Cal.

Oh, Pharma stocks are a Crap Shoot since the race for effective vaccines and therapeutics is at a point in the first furlong of the race, just a little ways out of the Starting Gate and a long ways from the Finish Line.  Just because a horse has a pre race evaluation that indicates it should finish in the top 3, it doesn't mean a thing once the Starting Gate is open and the race is on.  Even a 200-1 shot may wind up in the Winner's Circle based on where we are in the whole scheme of the race... at the early stage.
