Richmont presently has 2 operating mines;
Island Gold mine produces 10,000 oz per quarter/40,000 oz per year.
Beaufor produces 6,000 oz per quarter/24,000 oz per year.
Francoeur is being developed and within two years should be producing 35,000 oz of gold per year.
Total production will be 100,000 per year.
To produce 200,000 oz per year within 2 years, all these three mines should double their production. This includes Beaufor, 50% owned by Louvem.
"Over the next 24 months our goal is to increase productions to 200,000 ounces a year (up from 70,000 ounces this year)" both though developing existing facilities and the opening another company-owned mine," Chamandy said.
