11:15 AM EDT, 08/27/2019 (MT Newswires) -- Mountain Boy Minerals Ltd (MTB.V) was steady in Tuesday trading after the miner announced a new gold and silver discovery at its American Creek West about 20 kilometers north of the Stewart, BC.

A rock sample from the new discovery was assayed at 8.4 grams per ton of gold ore and 903 grams per ton silver, Mountain Boy said.

The company's geological team is now in the last stages of identifying additional initial drill targets, including a likely extension of the Mountain Boy silver mine, which last operated during the 1930s, and the Maybe vein system north of the mine and has never been worked or drilled.
