I was wondering if you recall what the person you refer to as "Nick" looked like? Below is a link to a possible person off interest. It could be Nick Eyles from the U.of Toronto, geology dept. If it is indeed him and since you live in TO and he works at the U.of T......i mean what are the chances of bumping into someone on a warm spring day on the university campus? Okay, okay... I may be way out on a limb here with the warm spring weather remark! lol Any whoooo, Seems Nick here is quite the person of interest. If you or anyone else with more knowledge than I of core samples would contact him and give him his 2 pennies worth, I'd love to read about it.
