The warm weather has eliminated the option of flying equipment into Koper Lake with the c-130 Hercules as the ice is not thick enough to support the 150,000 lbs. However, the airlift is well underway with many smaller aircraft that can still land on the ice. The ROF is busier (airtraffic wise) than I have heard it since the early days. Thousands of drums of fuel and thousands of pounds of equipement are being flown out of Geraldton and Pickle Lake. The race is on to get it all in before the ice goes out.
