Tinman,

North Amerian Palladium, defaulted on a loan and there was a stock split of 400 to 1.

The stock fell out of favor and the share price reflect the lack of trust from shareholders, not the palladium price.

Brookfield did quite the "play" here.

Below is the chart for palladium.

If you scroll to the end you will see a 10 year chart and notice that Palladium is at a high right now.

http://www.kitco.com/charts/techcharts_palladium.html

The Palladium price is currently at $932 usa dollars per ounce

When Noront did their prefeasibilty they used a 3yr trailing base case price of $432. See page 162 in the link below.

http://norontresources.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/pdf/4%20Eagles%20Nest%20Pre-Feasibility%20Study.pdf

The Palladium price has more than doubled since this prefeasibility study.

Copper is roughly the same price as when the study was done.

The 3 year trailing base case that Noront used was $8.62 per Lb so at today's price of over $5.00  ...the battery market will drive the price of nickel much higher than where it is at.

Tinman, in a post I did a while ago, you see how well Stillwater made out. The old Noront video with Wes in my post below is also a good one to re-watch.

https://agoracom.com/ir/Noront/forums/discussion/topics/680015-palladium/?message_id=2129202

key points from Wes's 33 minute presentation in 2012..

the palladium prices were $446 per oz during Wes's video.....the price today is $932 per oz

The ratio of Palladium to platinum in the rof is 3:1...much like the stillwater montana project.

Wes mentions the geological chemistry indicates the higher the chromite values the higher the precious metal values...

Stillwater's montana had chromite values of 22%.... and Noront's values are MUCH HIGHER.

A recent article..

https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2017-08-30/palladium-rally-is-about-more-than-just-autos

"Why should palladium’s price be affected by the threats from North Korea, and potential military escalations in Afghanistan and the Middle East? Palladium plating is often selected over gold due to its high melting point and lower cost, for various types of connector applications used in defense manufacturing processes. Defense plating processes are used to protect military parts including detonators, avionics, missile components and aircraft engine parts, and offer such benefits as corrosion and heat resistance, electrical conductivity, and compliance with military specifications."
