Description
The Marten Falls First Nation is proceeding with upgrades to their water treatment plant. The community is accessible by winter roads and fly-in access only. There is no year-round road access.
The scope of work consists of construction of a water treatment plant including installation of pre-selected chemically-assisted filtration (“conventional”) treatment system and backup genset, and supply and installation of a pre-engineered steel building, over a concrete reservoir and structural slab foundation, distribution pumps, valves and piping, motor control centre, intake screen replacement, and related mechanical and electrical works, as well as minor lift station and distribution works. Works are expected to be tendered in late November 2017 to allow mobilization over the 2018 winter roads.
