Are you saying that independent directors are not allowed to own shares in a company that they are directors in? I always thought that they could but had to report there holdings! If this is the case then why do they get options to buy shares?? I would read into this that NOT having shares in a company they are a director in is a BAD sign and shows no conviction on there part. They should be voted OFF the board.
