Eabametoongs and Chief Atlookan are blaming the government for not helping the community, they also claim that the ring of fire will bring addiction and other trouble to their community.   I think the chief should get out of her house and go see her people.  They are living in poverty, squalor (as in the pics), and the young are bored, restless and satisfying their need with drugs.  Suicide, depression etc are prevalent. 

So tell me something Chief, do you look yourself in the mirror each day and think that you are helping your people?   You have addiction and mental health issues in your community.  Ring of Fire will not make it any worst.  it's already at the bottom of the barrel.  

With meaningful jobs, connection to the real world, revenue sharing, your people will be able to rise and become great people once again.  You are in a unique position to benefit from road tolls, mining revenue sharing, jobs in mining, spin off industries like gas stations, tourism, hunting, fishing, forestry, peat moss etc.

Wake up Chief and stop blaming others,  take accountability for your lack of competency as a leader, step down and make way for someone that cares about the health and well being of our people.

The future is in front of you.  Eabametoong people, it is time to tell the Chief to go and take a hike and never come back.
