according to the Globe back in 2014 Cliffs had spent 550 million.

I read in another article it was closer to 750 million.

Cliffs bought three chromite deposits in 2010 for $350-million. It spent about $200-million developing the project and had expected to spend about $3-billion in total.

Noront picked it up for next to  nothing and has a market cap of 66.56 million

Cliffs expected to spend 3 billion in total and stated once the mine is open they'll be able to make 750 million a year (an increase of 50% to the revenues they had then)
