This crockumentary is based on Ozzie Zehner's book, "Green Illusions", published in 2012, 8 years ago. Its data is from a decade ago. In that time, solar PV costs have dropped 80%. Cost of wind power has dropped 40%. Both are cheaper than coal now. And every watt produced by them is one less watt that needs to be produced by burning fossil fuels. And they are not one-and-done technologies, either. It takes about 2.5 years to recover the energy cost of production for a solar panel, and then you have at least 27.5 years of production of free energy.
