04:52 PM EDT08/22/2017 (MT Newswires) -- Osisko Mining (OSK.TO) said Tuesday after market close that the ongoing drill program at its Garrison gold project in Ontario returned significant results that include 1.12 grams per tonne of gold over 59.3 meters, 583 g/t of gold over 1.0 meter, 1.20 g/t of gold over 33.8 meters, and 1.04 g/t of gold over 34.0 meters.

In a statement, the company said that the results demonstrate the potential to expand the extent of known mineralization in Garrison's 903 and Garrcon zones. The 2017 drill program will continue to explore mineralization extensions in these zones, as well as in Jonpol.

Osisko has conducted over 60,000 meters of new drilling on the Garrison project to date.

Osisko shares fell to an intra-day low of $4.51 before Tuesday noon, but recovered to touch an intra-day high of $4.68 on three occasions in the afternoon before ending the day at $4.65 for a slight 0.2% gain from the previous close.
