AGORACOM NEWS FLASH

Dear Agoracom Family,

I want to thank all of you for your patience with us over the past 48 hours and apologize for what was admittedly a botched launch of our new site.

As you can see, we have reverted back to the previous version of the site while we address multiple forum functionality flaws that inexplicably made their way into the launch.

To this end:

1.We have identified 8 fundamental but easily fixable flaws that will be corrected in the coming week, so that you can continue to use the forums exactly as you've been accustomed to.

2.Additionally we will also be implementing a couple of design improvements to "tighten up" the look and feel of the forums.

Have a great Sunday, especially those of you like me that are celebrating Orthodox Easter ... As well as those of you who are also like me and mourning another Maple Leafs Game 7 exit ... Ugggh!

Sincerely,

George et al

Message: Investor Meeting : Partner Financing Vs NRE

I accept the stark reality of Lumenge's conclusion. That we are 18 months away from producing the products that have the potential to gain the revenues to deliver the degree of 'return on investment' in PTI necessary to make my adventure with PTI worthwhile.

In Sep 15 the strategic decision was made to swivel the company from its strategic path of developing PET in tandem with POET.  Selling POET IP,  the get rich quick option, was not excluded at that time and I presume remain an option,  but new management certainly recognised that to do that they had to have a 'proof of the pudding' product,  they chose the AOC.  You all know my view that I personally cannot eliminate the possibility of a 40 engineer deal at that time as they knew that they had insufficient resouces to do both projects  However,  what should preoccupy our thoughts is that to make the AOC the company plans went wrong at the first hurdle, when trying to buy a US based chip manufacting facility, and then rapidly turning to the aquisition of BB and Denselight as a get out of jail card.  Making DL work has absorbed significant resources both in time and funds to the extent that PTI ran out of capital.

My point is right from the outset funding is central to the success of this company and in my view has dictated the pace of POETdevelopment. I don't believe the creeping argument that something is technically wrong.  The delays are all about cutting your cloth according to your means.  The ramp up at DL has to preceed AOC development and until the revenue comes in from DL enterprises progress will be slow on AOC development.  A hope as FJ says is that there may be patbner involvement that just might tip the balance.

Additionaly, those who have experienced IT development projects will know the difficulty of timing the phases to commercialisation and the significant cost of iteration of the stages when errors or reengneering occurs.  There is little point in castigating management if timing appears to be the result of the all purpose ' wet finger in the air' analysis tool. They just do their best.  This is part of the risk we took on investing in PTI.

What logically was a three year project to build an AOC is just starting in Sep 15 is just about on course to my mind I just was not prepared to think that previously.

Lumenge is right, and if you have not already. adjust your expectations to returns on investment starting 2019.

Sula
