Oz thank you.. I spent the day working with John chambers at Cisco a number of years ago.. We were discussion his R and D plans.. He commented.. If their own engineers could not reverse engineer or produce their own version of a new innovation then the R and D plan was to buy  the start up...

... seems with these acquisitions Cisco continues with this mental model...tpower
