I, too, think that the tier 1 company in North America might be Cisco. The only thing is that Cisco sells complete products, BUT they have (1) grown by acquisition; (2) they might have subsidiaries that supply them tier 1 products (where Poet could fit in???); (3) they have deep pockets (CA$H); (4) they are probably still number 1 globally in the data room networking equipment- racks and racks of CISCO.
