ITTR,

You mentioned my comments on volume, let me explain how I get there.  Beyond watching this stock every day for 6 or so years, and more specifically adressing the recent trading, there were days and days when the volume was very, very light.  I don't think you would disagree there.

But when what I thought was a very good NR hit, the volume jumped up (along with the price) appreciably.  Could that reflect outside/new interest, sure, maybe it could.  But then a few of the bigger players here let us know they had bought a bunch more shares, I think 300,000 for Mazan.  Now, I know Mazan a little bit, and he is not a guy that keeps his wallet under wraps, so I don't doubt for a moment that he did go out and buy all those shares.  Another poster indicated a purchase of 50,000 shares.  Well, to me, that's pretty good evidence that a whole lot of the volume on the NR day was supplied compliments of this Forum.

I'm certainly not saying that the NR did not warrant investment or further investment in Poet, I think it was a very rational decision to buy that day, especially early, but I believe that decision was made mainly by those best informed - and that would be those right here.

When this stock really gets noticed by a wider spectrum of investors, the volume is gonna really soar, as will the share price and I think we'll all know it when we see it.  Whether it be a huge flock of day traders drawn by the Poet light, or whether it will be long term investors or a combination of the two, it will be far more dramatic than what we've seen the last few days.

So, while the volume rose as did the share price, I stand by my comment that the volume/share price movement on its own is not a good indicator that something big is imminent.  The NR, on the other hand, was a very good indication that things continue to be headed in the correct direction.  Put another way, a dramatic rise in volume and share price, without an accompanying NR that was surely very well received by the Agoracom audience, now that might have been an indication that something big was close.

Poet is still very much a parochial stock, but times appear to be changing.
