Aiming to become the global leader in chip-scale photonic solutions by deploying Optical Interposer technology to enable the seamless integration of electronics and photonics for a broad range of vertical market applications

Considering it’s lack luster delivery, It’s been interesting to unpick some of the great statements made at the CC 11NOV19 and to draw the conclusion that POET, as I thought nearly ten years ago, is indeed a unique high tech venture investment opportunity.  Given the following statements, and the beneficial financial situation following the sale of DenseLight, who would not want to be invested at this time of 'accelerated commercialisations'. Until FJs recent post generously sharing, once again, his well connected Status, I had not worked out the purpose of the CC, which is akin to the calm before the storm, as POET opens its flood gates. Consider the following:

Suresh Venkatsen said:

'Given my background in semiconductor and process technology and Vivek’s history in the optical industry, we contribute a unique combination of strategic, technical, and operational execution expertise in both photonics and semiconductors. As a result, I believe POET will benefit from a further refined go-to-market strategy and expanded strategic customer engagements that will ultimately drive accelerated commercialization and adoption of our interposer platform

Vivek Rajgarhia statement which I've reformatted for emphasis:

Following the divestiture of DenseLight the company could still be considered early-stage in terms of achieving full commercialization and revenue yet, at the same time, it has several huge advantages compared to most early-stage opportunities.

  1.  The company is in the final validation phase of commercializing a new technology platform.

  2.  POET has, and is actively working with, a lead tier-one strategic networking customer.

  3. The technology is poised to be highly disruptive in the data-center and 5G markets.

  4.  It’s providing a wafer-level integration platform (that’s?) a game-changer and expandable to other applications such as IoT and LIDAR.

  5.  The strength and expertise of the existing team.

This project now clearly has momentum.

Harping back to the gloom’s cry of ‘they’ve got nothing’ from those
wishing to wring our little chicken’s  neck. To me it is clear that key to unlocking POET's potential is this dynamic duo.  Which brings to mind Churchill's wartime statement, ‘Some chicken some neck’.
