I fail to see how the market has not taken this seriously. POET has cleanroom facilities 5000 sq. ft. ready for equipment which will be delivered, installed, and qualified in April/May. And a 15000 sq. ft. permanent facility that will be ready by the end of the year for scaling productions early next year (less than a year away)…This China stuff is moving along much faster than anyone had anticipated and it’s about time for the market to consider this, mho.

- Completed temporary clean room and office facilities of 5,000 square feet, co-located with Sanan IC in Xiamen and committed to completion of a permanent 15,000 square feet facility in high-tech industrial park outside of Xiamen by the end of the year;
- Ordered key capital equipment for delivery, installation and qualification in April-May;
- Received benefit of investment from Sanan IC of approximately US$5 million to cover initial operating and capital expenditures.
We have received remarkable support from Sanan IC and from key staff in POET’s Shenzhen office to prepare the SPX operation for what is expected in the coming months, including qualification of equipment and processes, assembly and testing of several product prototypes, establishing good initial customer relationships and making preparations for scaling production early next year. SPX has assembled a world-class leadership team from which both POET and Sanan IC expect outstanding performance.
