Aiming to become the global leader in chip-scale photonic solutions by deploying Optical Interposer technology to enable the seamless integration of electronics and photonics for a broad range of vertical market applications

Message: Communications/PR

I have long observed that none of Suresh, Vivek or Tom are dynamic speakers.  That is obvious, (painfully so during the AGM) and frankly, not surprising given what they are tasked with; turning a pre-revenue company into a disruptive one.

Engineers are not promoters, and promoters are not engineers and herein lies the great disconnect in this company, and why a shareholder had to go to management to basically lobby them for a contract to run their social media channels and consult them on messaging.   That is almost comical when you think about it.

The challenge POET has is that so few people can speak confidently and engagingly about a proprietary technology in simple, practical terms, without getting into "scientific speak".  Bringing a PR focussed salesman up to speed on the minutiae of the Optical Interposer will take a LOT of on-boarding.  Getting information wrong is as risky as not communicating at all.

I have another theory as to the PR neglect we've been complaining about for ages;  the company leadership is focussed exclusively on the tech, and the engagement with potential partners, and they feel so confident in their progress, they don't think they'll need PR.   Committed customers > PR.
