Alittle food for thought. This has been mentioned before but glad to see it moving forward. Should help secure things on US soil as far as availabilty goes for chips in the future. This a monster company.

Also here is a snipet from the article stating TSMC provides for large companies that make their products special. Similar to how POET will be in the future. Example: TSMC doesn't take credit for the I Phone being advanced. TSMC sales speak for themself.

TSMC is also Apple’s exclusive provider of the most advanced chips inside every iPhone currently on the market and most Mac computers.

“But they remain sort of in the background, in terms of end markets. So Apple gets all the accolades when a new phone comes out,” said Joanne Itow, managing director of manufacturing at Semico Research.
