Dont companies issue a statement to calm fear of their shareholders such as.....

There is no material news or delays which warrant the large volume and price depreciation of our stock...all is well and proceeding on schedule. 

And it would be really sweet if the insiders would fill all the placement internally and DECIMATE the shorters...whishfull thinking..
