I've been up to Webequie which is in the McFaulds Lake area. It is definitely in the boonies and surrounded by muskeg. No all-season roads for hundreds of kilometres and gravel is hard to find. Good call on the environmental impact. Some very nice remote river systems straddle this area and the water table is very close to the surface.

The DeBeers project is about 100km further east and it relies on winter roads. Also cost close to a billion dollars before the first diamond is produced. A smaller operation producing a small amount of very valuable stuff!

If KXL is up there,hopefully they are over the better deposits!
