RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 02/06/12 -- Puma Exploration (TSX VENTURE:PUM) announces the results of the Henry East Lens preliminary channel sampling program at Nicholas-Denys, New Brunswick. In channel NS1, located in trench T11-29, a sample with 5 g/t Au, 267 g/t Ag, 5.3% Pb and 1.1% Zn over 2.0 meters was recovered. Two (2) other samples with 3.6 g/t Au and 716 g/t Ag over 2.2 meters and 2.0 g/t Au and 130 g/t Ag over 2.2 meters were also collected in that trench.

The Henry East Lens outcrops on surface as a semi-massive to massive sulphide zone varying in thickness from 0.5 meters to 5 meters. The continuity of the mineralization has been proven by nine (9) different trenches, with a spacing of 25 to75 meters over a strike length of 500 meters (press release 10/11/2011). Due to winter conditions, only a limited part of trench T11-29 was accessible for channel sampling.

The Henry East Lens is closely related with the main Rocky-Brook-Millstream fault which also controls the mineralisation for the Hache, Shaft and Pinetree lenses. All these mineralised lenses carry significant gold and silver enrichment and the current channel sample results are similar with those collected previously on the Hache lens.

At the Hache lens, the channel sample results were consistent with the subsequent drilling results. The gold and silver enrichment related with the Rocky-Brook-Millstream Main fault has been confirmed by most of the drilling completed by Puma between 2006 to 2008 and highlights are tabulated in Table 3 below.

The stripping and channeling program on Henry East Lens will resume as soon as the field condition allows the team to access the site. The 2011 exploration results indicated that the Nicholas-Denys property contains a significant silver-gold mineralization system that is open for extension. The area explored to date represents only 20% of the total length of the favourable corridor which extends over more than 10 km. The discovery of new silver-gold structures and lenses along the Rocky-Brook-Millstream Fault and the northern second main fault represent a key step toward the definition of an economic deposit.

About Nicholas-Denys

The Nicholas-Denys property is located only 20 kilometers north of Bathurst and is part of the Bathurst Mining Camp of northern New Brunswick. The property is accessible by road all year round and is intersected by a power line. The Nicholas-Denys property is 6,750 hectares and is part of Puma's 10,476 hectare holdings in New Brunswick.

About Puma Exploration

Puma Exploration is a Canadian mineral exploration company with advanced projects in precious and base metals in Canada. The Company's major projects are the Nicholas-Denys Silver Project and Turgeon Copper Project in New Brunswick and the Little Stull Lake Gold Project in Manitoba. Puma is actually focusing its exploration efforts in New Brunswick, Canada, which is a resource rich area with stable government policies that offer certainty and reduce the risk for long-term projects. New players as Trevali Mining corporation who had commenced initial production at Halfmile Mine and Votorantim which is developing the Murray Brook Deposit are now very active in the area.
