Why issuing shares + warrants if intending to Buy back shares?

Hi Peter,

The 2 news releases from today have confused me: on one hand, selling shares+warrants through a private placement, while receiving approval to buy back shares on the other hand.

If the company is in position to buy back shares, why did it need the private placement?
