Message: Torch the Ring of Fire

Hi Peter/Rodanya,

Just wondering if there's a possible new market for your torches in an application similar to their use in iron ore pelletisation - nickel and chromium. (Nickel as you know, is going to be in big demand from the EV market).

The Ring of Fire is unfolding as a huge nickel, platinum, chromium, copper deposit .... mine in northern Ontario, and there is a battle for control of Noront Resources going on between two of the biggest mining companies in the world - BHP & Wyloo. There's also the possibility of Vale and Inco joining into the bidding war that's begun.

The current ore concentration process for nickel is similar to iron, and is energy intensive and dirty. and whoever ends up controlling the Ring of Fire is going to need a clean and cheaper way of ore concentration and refining. They're going to be designing their processes from the bottom up.

I was just thinking this would be a great opportunity for Pyro to get their torces in right at the design stage, rather than as retrofits into existing furnaces.

Food for thought?

Brgds,

A-G
