According to NASDAQ, there was in September is 1.6 mil. shares sold short, aproximately 11% decline from prevous report and around 20% down from maximum of 2.0 mill.

1.6 mill looks high (aprox 9x of average volume) but these are already sold, ie do not have impact on existing share price. Not to mention, that short sellers are slowly buyin back.

Conclusion: short selling does not seem to be the issue here....
