the way I see all those new ideas of processing iron and steel is ,the companies like using the BF/BOF  system they are comfortable with it,given the choice of abandoning it for a new system or changing the fuel source of the BF/BOF I think they will go with the fuel change,it can eliminate all of their GHG woes,related to the fuel and don't require major process modifcation.simple and clean win win.
