Message: Impact factors

First, impact factors are NOT a quality metric, they are simply a measure of citation frequencyl.

Scond, before anyone has had some Fear, Uncertainty or Doubt about the quality of the research by RVX, the RVX208-publication in Atherosclerosis received the following analysis - where the Atherosclerosis paper is said to be extremely highly cited (=high impact as per the impact factor definition).

"This publication in Atherosclerosis has been cited 36 times. 94% of its citations have been received in the past two years, which is higher than you might expect, suggesting that it is currently receiving a lot of interest.

Compared to other publications in the same field, this publication is extremely highly cited and has received approximately 12 times more citations than average."
