This was actually the same question I had which prompted me to draft the original post that Tada responded to directly.  If DB lock just occurred then the company must be submitting the late breaker while still in the dark as to the trial outcome.  So, in and of itself does it convey anything?  I’m guessing no and they did it to have a placeholder at the conference for when results become known.  But I’m no expert on conference protocols.
