Isn't this the same kind of post hoc digging the same as RVX did with rvx-208 on the various combined trials regarding 5 point MACE? I.e. it is good, proper and natural scientific detective work that could lead to new hypothesis which would then require experimental design (e.g. new trials) to verify. Statistically if you generate and examine 100 stats 5 will be significant just by random chance at the 95% confidence level.

Yet Biogen got it approved.

On a side point, it sure would be interesting if apabetalone replicates the 5 point MACE results and does even better and then gets approval based on a hypothesis, that over enough time, it might reduce 3 point MACE.
