Bear - perhaps it has been “proven”,  (although I cannot recall if the CHF readmissions were specified as 30-day readmissions in BETonMACE).

“First hospitalization” for CHF was reduced by 41%, and “first plus recurrent hospitalization” by 53% (both P<0.05).

I have not seen any P values on “recurrent hospitalization” alone but the sums show 22 cases in placebo group and only 6 cases in the ABL group.
