A partnership would be the last resort.  Any BP or VC would want at least 50% partnership rights to future profits.  That does not bode well for current shareholders with waiting period extended 4 more years (study time plus approval time), unless they see -0- future value.  If that is the case, just walk now, cut your losses, we do need negative thoughts.  There remains real value in RVX.  Even at $8B the company would be a real buy.  BP is always looking to fill their funnel, knowing it takes five to ten years to bring new compounds to market.  Remember RVX has more than Apabetalone with 20 plus compounds on the shelf.  DM and rvx board members are doing their best, we must have trust (they too are stockholders).  This is a perfect storm, all businesses, governments and every person in the world are being hit.  Only those who jump off a moving train get hurt.  Any company that has debt with RVX will wait, no one wants the pieces.   Sometimes silence is golden.  There is value here and yes, we will have to wait. sidebar.
