Message: Lower LDL-C and Increased Type 2 Diabetes Risk

I focused on this statement in the abstract:

"These findings extend our current understanding of the higher T2D risk among individuals with low circulating LDL-C, and of the underlying mechanisms, including those responsible for the diabetogenic effect of LDL-C-lowering medications." ( bolding added)

If I understand it correctly, what it says is that statins ( LDL-C lowering meds) raise the risk of higher T2D in patients. And If I understand you correctly, RVX-208 would help in this situation. Is that what you are trying to point out. If so, I'm not sure if it does.

BOM took in patients with both lower LDL-C and T2D and taking statins (standard of care). The slides you pointed out shows how ABL helped concerning MACE.
