The three were on a fishing trip out on the ocean when the boat they were on began to sink.  A hundred yards or so from the boat was a small island, but between the boat and the island the water was teeming with sharks.  The small life raft on the boat could only hold 2 people....

The Doctor said that he'd devoted his life to serving his fellow human beings and insisted that the Pator and Stock Broker take the life raft while he would swim and take his chances.  The Pastor refused saying that his faith in God would see him safely to the island, as with Daniel and the lions....the two were arguing back and forth as the ship kept sinking when all of a sudden they heard a splash and turned to see the Stock Broker swimming for the island.  Their mouths gaped open as they saw the sharks not only leave the Broker alone, but they actually made a path for him.....dorsal fins to the left and right almost pointing the way.

The Pastor and Doctor jumped quickly into the life raft and paddled it to the island.....once on shore they asked the Broker how he knew he'd be safe, and about the sharks actually clearning a path for him.  The Stock Broker's answer:  

"What"???  "You've never heard of professional courtesy"???
