VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 21, 2009) - Salazar Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SRL) is pleased to announce that it has received official notice from the Minister of Mines and Petroleum of Ecuador authorizing the restart of its field operations. The notice grants the company its right to continue its successful exploration program at the 100% owned Curipamba Property in Central West Ecuador, as well as its other properties throughout Ecuador.

Mr. Salazar, President and CEO, stated, "We are very pleased with the progress made in Ecuador and support the country's effort in building responsible mining and establishing a solid foundation for the future development of the mining industry.
