Congratulations Shear Wind !
(Halifax, Nova Scotia and Calgary, Alberta) – Mike Magnus, President and CEO
of Shear Wind Inc. (“Shear Wind”) (TSXV: “SWX”) announces the awarding to Shear
Wind as being selected one of the 2008 TSX Venture 50, a ranking of the top 50
public companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
The TSX Venture 50 are the top 10 companies in each of five major industry sectors
– mining, oil & gas, technology & life sciences, diversified industries and cleantech.
The companies were chosen based on a ranking formula with equal weighting given
to one-year revenue (last reported 12 months), return on investment, market cap
growth and trading volume. All data was as of December 31, 2007.
Mike Magnus said, “We are extremely proud of this honour, as it is a reflection of the
quality of our people and their dedicated efforts. We see the award as a validation of
the successful growth and development we have attained over the past year at
Shear Wind as one of this country’s most dynamic renewable energy providers.”

community additional recognition of the strength of Shear Wind’s portfolio as a solid
investment opportunity.”
Shear Wind signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Nova Scotia Power and is
building a 60 MW Wind Power Facility in Nova Scotia, and has recently announced
access to the Alberta transmission grid for a 100MW facility targeting initial
construction activities to begin in 2009.
The TSX Inc. has issued a logo which recipients are able to use in promotional and
informational material.
