Mr. Chris England, President and CEO of Silver Fields Resources Inc. announces that pursuant to a special resolution passed by shareholders on April 23, 2010, the company has consolidated its capital on a one-new-for-10-old basis.

The name of the company has not been changed.

Effective at the opening, Friday, May 7, 2010, the common shares of Silver Fields Resources Inc., will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange on a consolidated basis. The company is classified as a mining company.

Postconsolidation

Capitalization: Unlimited shares with no par value, of which 10,840,149 shares are issued and outstanding.

Escrow: Nil shares are subject to escrow

Transfer agent: CIBC Mellon Trust

Trading symbol: SF (unchanged)
