Ryan Kalt, B.Comm (Hons), LL.B., LL.M., M.B.A.
President & Chief Executive Officer
Ryan is an experienced entrepreneur and executive having more than fifteen years of business experience. He is also a Barrister & Solicitor and member of the Law Society of Alberta. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and a Master of Laws (Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental Law) from the University of Calgary. Prior to his role with Strike Diamond Corp., Mr. Kalt was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gold Royalties Corporation, which was acquired by Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (NYSE-MKT:SAND) in 2015 with a takeover premium in excess of 90%.
Sam Wong, B.Comm., C.A.
Chief Financial Officer
Sam has extensive public company experience including as the Chief Financial Officer of Chesapeake Gold Corp and Lowell Copper Ltd. Prior to those positions, He was the Corporate Controller at Luna Gold Corp where he oversaw the finance division during Luna's transition from development through to commercial production. Sam is a Chartered Accountant and articled at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Vancouver, BC where he specialized in assurance and advisory for mining companies. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of British Columbia.
