Strike Minerals Inc. (STK-V) Board Changes
London, Ontario - Strike Minerals Inc. (“Strike”) is pleased to announce that Michael
Newbury, P.Eng. is joining Strike as its new President and CEO and as a director. To
facilitate Mr. Newbury’s appointment, Ms. Wendy Kimmel has resigned as Chairman of
the company but will remain on the board as a director. Denis Crane is resigning as
President and CEO and is being appointed Chairman of the Company.
Mike Newbury is a professional engineer, banker and project finance specialist with 40
years experience in the operation, financing and evaluation of mining projects.
Previously, Mr. Newbury managed Barclays Bank's world mining group and the Credit
Suisse Corporate Banking Group. He was one of the initial partners in Endeavour
Financial and provided his technical expertise to that group for over 10 years. He has
extensive experience in the evaluation and financial structuring of natural resource
projects in emerging market countries including Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, South
Africa, China, Mongolia and Venezuela. Currently he is involved as president and CEO
as well as on the Boards of a number of junior mining companies. He has a B.Sc. from
Queen’s and a M.Sc. from McGill
Mr. Denis Crane, Chairman of Strike commented: “We are extremely pleased to have Mr.

ABOUT STRIKE MINERALS
Strike Minerals is a TSX-V listed company that is engaged in the exploration and
development of precious metal properties in Canada. Its primary property is the former
producing Edwards Gold Mine property in the Goudreau – Lochalsh Gold Camp near
Wawa Ont. Historic production in the camp between 1930 and 2001 is estimated at
500,000 ounces. Between 1996 and 2001 underground development was completed
through a decline to a depth of approximately 290 m resulting in 144,000 oz being mined
from the Edwards property. More recent exploration of the property has delineated an
additional number of mineralized zones that require follow-up.
