Here is an article where Credite Suisse predicts gold to be at $1050 by 2012.
I think that prediction is conservative and $1000 will come much sooner. With the American economy/dollar going titsup, people will be looking for a hedge. Also gold production is forcast to decline. Supply and demand will take care of the rest.
