I posted on this a while back, but you need go no further than Weimar itself to find the example you are looking for. The figures did not move in a straight line. Amidst the figures you posted, there was a counter-trend 60% increase in the German mark in 1921 compared to other currencies, despite the deteriorating fundamentals. There was also a counter-trend 60% decrease in the commodity index, and gold, during the same time.
