The main idea is that they have started clearing snow off the ice and started flooding it. The ice is 18inches thick, and solid enough to work on. THen need to get it to about 36 inches.
There will be no alternate route this year (which would pass by Tyhee). Hence Tyhee paying somethign like $200k for a spur ice road off the main road, off of the northern part of Gordon Lake to Thistlewaite Lake, then over to Giaque Lake, I think. Look at this map, and note those lakes and the Dome Lake construction camp.

I'll watch this site for an update that mentions when the Tyhee camp ice road is getting done, as that is the trigger for the winter drilling program, I think.
